1. The right shade of foundation has to be careful chosen otherwise it will be a wasted effort as different shades of colors will be seen on the face.
2. Bright light is best for choosing the right foundation shade, dull or yellow light can be very deceptive.
3. Moisturise the face very well.
4. Prime the face (MAC primer is an ideal one to use), this keeps foundation in place all day.
5. Foundation is best applied with a brush than a sponge. A sponge will absorb a lot of foundation & will distribute a little to the face and doesn't blend evenly.
6. Ensure foundation blends close to the ears and underneath the jaw line to the neck to avoid having a two-tonned face.
7. Blotting powder is all that is needed to reduce the shine, never try to reduce shine with damp cloths or tissue paper.
